Ahmad Poureshmenantalemy
Ahmad Poureshmenantalemy, 86, of Pittsburgh, Pa., passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family, on June 28, 2021.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 58 years, Sandra (Moor) and three children: Soraya, daughters Addison, Aralynn, and Allarie; Ramine, sons Ian, Weston, and Landon; Bejan (Laura), daughters Zari, and Cyra; sisters-in-law, Shirley Rauschenbach and Margie Moor; brother-in-law, Greg Moor; many nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Boomer. Ahmad was preceded in death by his parents, Mohammad Reza and Mariam Poureshmenantalemy; his in-laws, Paul and Eleanor Moor, and brothers-in-law, Gary Moor and Rodney Rauschenbach.
Ahmad was born in Iran to the late Mohammad and Mariam. He immigrated to the United States to attend college, which was fulfilled at Oklahoma University. He enjoyed a rewarding professional career as a chemical engineer (P.E.) traveling worldwide and taught heat transfer at the University of Houston.
After a prestigious career, he entered retirement, which provided him time to spend with his family (especially his grandchildren), Iranian cooking, watching OU Sooner games and an active member of the OU Alumni. His life was full and we are grateful for all the moments and memories we have been able to share and make.
Calling hours were held Tuesday, July 6, at Arnold Funeral Home Hartville. Private funeral will be held Wednesday, July 7, at 11 a.m. with Celebrant Kevin O’Brien officiating. Final resting place is Mount Peace Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association or AHN Hospice.
