They’re Coming to Take Me Away
Robert “Bob” Lee Kirch
Bob was a 1965 graduate of Warsaw High School. He was a member of the Ohio National Guard and served in the Enlisted Reserves for two years. Bob’s main career was in the wholesale food industry. He will always be remembered as someone who was incredibly hardworking.
On New Year’s Eve of 1966, Bob married the love of his life, Catherine (Eick) Kirch. They went on to have two daughters, Leanne and Allison.
He was a devoted member of the Roscoe United Methodist Church, as well as the Variety Club of Buffalo, Arthritis Foundation, American Lung Association, and Gateway Youth and Children’s Services. He loved to garden, golf, listen to Christian music, read, and watch sports, especially Cleveland Indians baseball and Cleveland Browns football.
Bob is survived by his wife, Catherine Kirch of Coshocton, Ohio; his daughters, Leanne Umlauf of Marion, Ohio and Allison Kirch of London, Kentucky; his grandchildren, Anastasia Umlauf, Dylan Umlauf, Jacob Barger, and Haley Barger; and his great-grandchild, Kyah Summerall. He is also survived by his sister, Linda (David) Lorenz of Warsaw, Ohio; his brother, Lynn Kirch of Coshocton, Ohio; his nephew, Tony Lorenz; and a host of other family, friends, and loved ones.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Calling hours were held on Friday, June 20, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM in the chapel of Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home. A funeral service followed at 12:00 PM with Pastor Bob Mitchell officiating. Burial at South Lawn Cemetery occured after the service.
For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made in Bob’s name to the Roscoe United Methodist Church.
