Ocie Mae Murphy
Ocie Mae Murphy, age 80, of Coshocton, passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2025. She was born on September 27, 1944, in Brent, Alabama to the late William and Eunice (Conethan) Murphy.
Ocie worked for Peoples Furniture for 19 years, Dawson Funeral Home and Autumn Healthcare for several years. She never knew a stranger and will be missed by those who knew and loved her.
She was a member of the St. Andrews AME Church in Coshocton, on a bowling league, enjoyed shopping at Goodwill, walking, biking, traveling, and spending time with her loving family.
Ocie is survived by her two children, Kevin Murphy of Cambridge and Michelle Murphy of Coshocton, 12 grandchildren, Bella, Chloé, Ava, Marcus, Brennen, Devonte, Kasis, Onna, Kobe, Matt, Kiara, and Keashawn; 13 great-grandchildren, siblings, Jimmy (Grace) Murphy of Columbus, Jack Murphy of Coshocton, David Murphy of Coshocton and Sady Murphy of Coshocton; several nieces and nephews including a very special niece, Janell Wiliams.
Along with her parents, Ocie is preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Bubbles.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home is serving the family.
