Patricia A. Stockwell, age 80 of Orrville, died Wednesday, April 24, 2019, at Brenn-Field Nursing Center in Orrville, following a period of declining health.

Pat was born June 18, 1938, in Akron to the late Warren and Lura Dell (Bechtel) Geitgey and graduated from Orrville High School in 1956. She married Donald David Stockwell on Aug. 26, 1978, in Orrville. Don died on July 6, 2017. She worked on the line for The J.M. Smucker Company in Orrville for 44 years, retiring in 2000.

Pat enjoyed spending time with family and friends, visiting friends at nursing homes, and cooking and baking for others. In her younger years, she enjoyed roller skating, bowling and traveling, especially to Hawaii.

Surviving are three children, David (Lisa) Stockwell of Orrville, Tina Pierce of Wooster and Dean Stockwell of Orrville; four grandchildren, Courtney (Dan) Strouse of Perrysville and Dakota Stockwell, Gabrielle Stockwell and Sterling Silver III, all of New Berlin, Wisconsin; great-grandchildren, Sydney, Elliott, Trenten and Violet; sister, Phyllis Motz of Orrville; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Nevaeh.

In addition to her parents and husband, Don, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Virgil Lee Summers; son-in-law, Warren Pierce; brother, Jim Geitgey; and half-sisters, Jean Pipes and Mary Litzell.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 30 at Auble Funeral Home, 512 E. Oak St., Orrville, with Pastors Don Meager and Ray Pfahler officiating. Burial will take place at Emanuel Church Cemetery in Doylestown.

Friends may call on Monday at the funeral home from 5-7 p.m. or one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
