Teagan Parks (#15) fights for control of the ball against Indian Creek.

The Lady Huskies were able to place one in the win column at Edison on Aug. 25 with a 5-0 victory.

After a loss to Beaver Local, the Huskies were out to claim a victory — and did so. Emma Patterson racked up a goal less than four minutes into the game with an assist from Teagan Parks, and Marley Zeroski also shared in the scoring before the half, off an assist from Morgan Stock for a 2-0 HC advantage. Stock then added to the winning number with two goals of her own, with assists from captains Emma Patterson and Grace Miller, leaving the score 4-0 at halftime.

“We talked possession and continued to work on ball control and passing for the second half,” said Harrison Central coach Mindy Madzia.

The final goal of the game came from Halei Sweeney off an assist from Nellie Patterson midway through the second half. The Lady Husky defense was led by Leanna Scott, Harley Hamric, Amelia Puskarich and Tayla Thompson, while goalkeeper Lillianne Smith came away with a clean sheet and nine saves. Player of the match was Tayla Thompson. Final score: Harrison Central 5, Edison 0.

The Lady Huskies took to Wagner Field on Thursday against Indian Creek and were beaten by the Redskins to drop to 1-2.

Marley Zeroski was the lone goal scorer for the Lady Huskies, with her second goal of the season coming in the first half.

Lillianne Smith was named player of the match.

The Huskies will face the Cambridge Bobcats after the long Labor Day weekend at Cambridge.
