Willis Dean Chanay, 74, of Millersburg, died July 31, 2010, at his residence, following a tractor accident.Willis was born April 1, 1936, on the family farm in Coshocton County, to the late Charles and Bessie Chanay. He retired from Ohio Oil Gathering in 1986 and was a self-employed trucker. He also enjoyed fishing in Canada with his brother Earl, sons, grandsons, and friends. He was a member of Massillon Baptist Temple.Surviving are his wife, Martha Chanay, whom he married in 1955; daughters, Jan (Bart) Mohler of Millersburg and Barb (Tom) Arnold of Killbuck; sons, Bill (Karen) Chanay of Coshocton and Jim Chanay of Killbuck; 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Doris Eltringham of Killbuck, and twin sisters, Jean (Jim) Shinabarker and Anita Carol (Jim) Dial, both of Glenmont; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.He was preceded in death by a daughter, Rhonda; brothers, Logan, Don, and Earl; and sister, Marie Roberts.Services will be held August 5, 2010, at 11 a.m., at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, with Pastor Clyde Ondrizek officiating. Burial will be in Killbuck Cemetery. Friends may call August 4, from 6-8 p.m.
