Violet C. Graham, 99, of Millersburg, died April 24, 2010, at Walnut Hills Retirement Home, Walnut Creek, following a brief illness. She was looking forward to celebrating her upcoming 100th birthday.Violet was born August 30, 1910, in Brinkhaven, to the late John E. and Roxie Emily Workman. She graduated in 1928 from Millersburg High School and was a bookkeeper for Palmer and Geisinger in the oil and gas business. She was a homemaker and loved cooking and baking, and was a longtime member of Millersburg Christian Church and the Loyalty Class. She had a great sense of humor and will be greatly missed.Surviving are daughters, Cheryl Guthrie of Wooster, Jenifer (Roger) Miller of Smithville, and Kay Earney of Millersburg; seven grandchildren, Tom (Geraldine) Guthrie, Tim (Linda) Guthrie, Jill Guthrie, Amy Earney, Julie (Ryan) Hershey, Matt Miller, and Sarah Miller; 13 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Julanne Phillips of Millersburg.She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewie Graham, whom she married in 1941; and sister, Leta Workman.Services will be held April 27, 2010, at 11 a.m., at St. Johns Church, Millersburg, with Pastor Trevor Littleton officiating. Burial will be in Killbuck Cemetery. Friends may call April 26, from 5-8 p.m., and one hour prior to services.Arrangements were handled by Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg.Family suggests contributions be made to Holmes County Hospice or the Holmes County Training Center.
