Jay M. Amstutz, age 65 of Orrville, died Monday, Dec. 24, 2018, at Akron General Medical Center in Akron, following a six-month battle with cancer.

Jay was born Jan. 22, 1953, in Orrville to Nathan and Anna (Geiser) Amstutz, graduated from Dalton High School (Wayne County Career Center) in 1971 and married Kimberly L. Keplar on Sept. 5, 1987, at CMA Church in Orrville. He worked as a truck driver for Consolidated Freight and YRC Freight for over 40 years.

Jay was a member of Orrville Christian Church, volunteered for several mission trips for disaster relief and was a committed blood donor for the Red Cross. He enjoyed boating, biking, travel and especially loved spending time with his family.

Surviving are his wife, Kimberly Amstutz of Orrville; mother, Anna Neuenschwander of Orrville; four children, Michael (Holly) Amstutz of Fancy Gap, Virginia, Andrea (William) Lundberg of Sheffield Lake, Adam Amstutz of Denver, Colorado and Aaron Amstutz of Orrville; four grandchildren, Brionna, Alyssa and William "Billy" Lundberg and Max Amstutz; a sister, Carlene (Stephen) Lantz of Broadway, Virginia; and several nieces and nephews.

Jay was preceded in death by his father and siblings, Ronald Amstutz, Rosetta Myers and Jeffrey Amstutz.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 28 at Orrville Christian Church, 925 N. Elm St., Orrville, with Pastor Tom Ledford officiating. Cremation will take place following the service, and burial of ashes will take place at Crown Hill Cemetery in Orrville.

Friends may call on Thursday at Auble Funeral Home, 512 E. Oak St., Orrville, from 5-8 p.m.
