Grace A. Geiser
Grace A. Geiser, age 106 of Orrville, died Saturday, Sept. 29, 2018, at Brenn-Field Nursing Center in Orrville, following a period of declining health.
Grace was born April 11, 1912, in Dalton to the late Harry and Ardiz "Ardie" (Wertz) Steiner. She attended Orrville schools and married Bennet W. Geiser on Nov. 17, 1934. Bennet died in 2013.
Grace was formerly the owner of Elaine’s Dress Shop and the Orrville Coin Laundromats. She also was the manager at Orrville MCC Thrift Shop.
Grace was a member of Orrville Mennonite Church. She enjoyed gardening, reading, word puzzles and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Surviving are two sons, Leonard Geiser (Linea, deceased) of Goshen, Indiana and Lowell (Vicki) Geiser of Orrville; two daughters, Arlene (Dave) Lehman of Orrville and Marlene (Dan) Fossum of Minneapolis, Minnesota; son-in-law, Wendell Schloneger of Orrville; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Grace was preceded in death by a daughter, Elaine Schloneger; sisters, Margaret Swegheimer and Catharine Gerber; and brothers, Fred, Myron, Warren, Howard and Kenneth Steiner.
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. on Oct. 27 at Orrville Mennonite Church, 1305 W. Market St., Orrville, with Pastor Bill Seymour officiating.
Friends may call on Oct. 27 at the church from noon to 1 p.m. prior to the service.
