Anna Marie Weatherwax
Anna Marie Weatherwax, 82, of Glenmont died at home after a brief illness Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014.
She was born in Glenmont June 4, 1931 to Eva Marjorie Dixon Owen McClain and Wayne D. Owen.
She worked at Shreiner’s Sole Company in Killbuck and was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ in Glenmont.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, George W. Weatherwax, her parents and six siblings.
Surviving are her three children and their spouses; a son, Rick (Jill) Weatherwax of Glenmont; two daughters, Connie (David) Shaffer of Wooster and Bonnie (Sam) Muhlenkamp of Virginia; 10 grandchildren, Bill (Teresa) McGinnis, Tom (Deb) McGinnis, Matt (Minoli) McGinnis, Sandy (Jody) Peppersack, Greg (Missy) Muhlenkamp, Renee (Ben) Stahl, Eric (Kelly) Snow, Marie (Dustin) McBane, Jay Shaffer and Jenna (Rusty) Gortner; and her great-grandchildren, Christina, David, Talyn, Megan, Johnnie, Erin, Samantha, Jessica, Kyle, Jordan, Keegan, Myiah, Ryan, Matthew, Michael, Emery, Ricky, Briana, Tyrus, Zev, Maris, Zade, Zachary, Joseph, Gavin and Lindsey.
After cremation, services will be held when weather permits.
At Anna’s request, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Glenmont Church of Christ.
The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff at Wayne Health Services, Wayne/Holmes Hospice and to Mary Ellen Proper and Ty Meyers.
