Ada M. Reed
Ada M. Reed, age 85 of Orrville, died Sunday, Sept. 2, 2018, at Brenn-Field Nursing Center in Orrville, following a period of declining health.
Ada was born Aug. 20, 1933, in Woodsfield, Ohio to the late Harold and Fern (Thomas) Cline and graduated from Dalton High School in 1951. She married Paul H. Reed on Aug. 23, 1953, in Indiana. Paul died Aug. 13, 2017.
Ada worked as a machine operator for the J.M. Smucker Company in Orrville for 35 years, retiring in 1995.
Ada was a member of Church of Christ in Orrville. She enjoyed playing cards and baking and will be remembered for the pies she made. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, and she especially loved her grandchildren.
Surviving are her daughter, Cheryl (Larry) Meherg of Lakeville; son-in-law, Frank Kormos of Massillon; two granddaughters, Megan (Eric) Stover of Ashland and Melanie Meherg of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; two grandsons, Aaron (Kirstin) Meherg of Perrysville and Matthew Kormos of Massillon; great-granddaughter, Marina Meherg; and two sisters, Marlene McCoullough of Orrville and Carol Wolf of Medina.
In addition to her parents and husband, Ada was preceded in death by a daughter, Debra Kormos, and a sister, Barbara Forrer.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 6 at Auble Funeral Home, 512 E. Oak St., Orrville. Burial will take place at Crown Hill Cemetery in Orrville. Friends may call on Wednesday at the funeral home from 5-7 p.m.
