Wilma Schucht

Wilma L. Schucht, 95 of Adena, Ohio passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, March 2, 2024, surrounded by her family.

Wilma was born in St. Clairsville, Ohio on June 7, 1928, to Charles and Alice (Saber) Herron. She was raised in Duncan Wood, Ohio and was a 1945 graduate of Cadiz High School. Wilma married John Schucht of Adena on March 1, 1947. Wilma and John bought their farm on Penova Ridge in 1953 where they had a dairy farm and raised their children, Slug and Bev.

Wilma was a member of Mt. Shiloh Baptist church and was a devout Christian. She had a strong relationship with God and lived her life to serve him. Wilma spent most of her life taking great care of her family. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, most of which reside on or near the family farm today.

Wilma is survived by her son; Charles “Slug” (Teresa) Schucht; granddaughters, Shawna (Bob) Myers, Nikki Richardson, Erica Schucht, Jodi (Greg) Holt, Dr. Jessica Schucht; great-grandchildren, Taylor (Brian) Potkoski, Tucker Coultrap, Seth Richardson, Mitchell Masloski, Madeline Masloski, Morgan Richardson, Tyler, Brendan, Ryan & Alexa Holt; great-great grandchildren, Garrett & Gianna Potkoski; sisters, Betty Oszust, Judy Madzia & Nancy Herron. She was proceeded in death by her parents, Charles and Alice Herron; husband, John Schucht; daughter, Beverly White; grandson, Derrick Schucht; sister, Murriel Hopkins.

Services will be officiated by Pastor Clint Marshall of Mt. Shiloh Baptist Church.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 8, 2024, at Borkoski Funeral Home, 60 South Bridge Street, Adena, Ohio where services will be held at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Clint Marshall of Mt. Shiloh Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens in Colerain.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations be made to the Mt. Shiloh Baptist Church, 83522 Bakers Ridge Rd, Cadiz, OH 43907, or the Adena American Legion Post # 525.
