Cadiz Women’s Golf League ends 2025 season with Solheim Cup and awards

Red team tops Blue 13-5 in finale; Cireddu, Froehlich, Augustine among award winners as new officers named for 2026

The Cadiz Women’s Golf League concluded its 2025 season Sept. 24 with the annual Solheim Cup, dinner, awards and closing meeting.

In a wet, shortened competition, the Red Solheim team defeated the Blue Solheim team 13-5.

Ringer Board winners were Roberta Cireddu, Laura Froehlich and Denise Augustine. Most chip-in winners were Tracy Amos, Laura Froehlich, Kathy Smith and Pat Roper. Marilyn Kenny and Roberta Cireddu tied for most eagles, while most birdie winners were Cireddu, Froehlich and Sandy Terek. Angie Sapon was named the league’s most improved player for 2025.

Officers for 2026 will be Brenda Hartley, chairperson; Donna Griffin, co-chairperson; Judy Crawshaw, secretary; and Glenda Sensel, treasurer.

The Cadiz Women’s Golf League thanked the country club board and staff, as well as league members, for their efforts and contributions toward a successful season.
