George T Monzula, Born May 4, 1930, in Cadiz, Ohio. Passed away after very brief illness October 31, 2023.
George was husband to Marilyn (Coulson) Monzula; beloved dad to Stephen Monzula and Georgina (Monzula) Constantino, Deborah Mocnik and Eugene Constantino. Beloved Papa to Alyssa, Gianna & Georgi; Great-Papa to Isabella Tyler and Montoro Kovach. He loved Monzula & Coulson family in laws, nieces & nephews, great nieces and nephews and many, many friends.
George had a very special relationship with his late sister, Helen Thompson. Proceeded in death by his beloved parents, Helen Monzula (Lukacena) and John Monzula; siblings John, Mary, Paul, Pauline, Liz and Helen and son-in-law, Eugene Constantino.
George was raised on Monzula Farm. He became a proud Marine September 19, 1951.
He married his high school sweetheart & love of his life, Marilyn Coulson on June 6, 1953. Moved to Willoughby Hills, Ohio. Worked for White Motors (30 years) where he was a specialty mechanic and welder.
George returned to family farm in Cadiz in 1991. He enjoyed and restored his family farm, raising cattle, putting up hay, growing grapes, hunting and drinking Genesee beer.
He built & established Vineyard 22 Winery on Monzula Farm. Loved the outdoors, was a nature enthusiast and geography buff. George always had time for a friendly conversation with anyone!
He was buried at Monzula Farm cemetery with military salute on November 1, 2023. A Celebration of Life will be November 11, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Vineyard 22 Winery on Monzula Farm located at 83817 Monzula Dr., Cadiz, OH. Friends and family welcome.
