The Harrison Regional Chamber of Commerce proudly announced the arrival of a new business, “The Cowgirl in Me” Boutique, to the heart of Cadiz. Owner Michele Homier, boasting a rich history of entrepreneurship that spans over 19 years across Southeast Michigan and the greater Toledo area, brings a fresh concept to the county seat with her latest venture.

“This boutique is a novel endeavor for me,” shared Homier, expressing excitement about delving into the world of owning a store. “The store’s essence revolves around country living, family values, farming, and the comforts of home. And, we have not forgotten the cowboys; we cater to them as well.”

With a deep-seated passion rooted in her Southern family heritage, Homier describes “The Cowgirl in Me” as a realization of a lifelong dream. “Our boutique offers a diverse range of items tailored to resonate with the inner cowgirl in all of us,” she elaborated. “After all, each of us holds a bit of that spirited cowgirl within.”

Choosing Cadiz as the boutique’s new home was a conscious decision for Homier. “We’ve recently established roots here, and what better place to introduce our store,” she enthused. “Our goal is not solely to run a successful enterprise but to also foster growth in Cadiz by attracting new small businesses and nurturing entrepreneurship within the community.”

The arduous process of preparation spanned over six months, during which Homier and her husband meticulously readied the store for its grand opening. Moreover, their efforts played a pivotal role in the restoration and revitalization of the historic building located at 155 East Market St., a tangible sign of their commitment to the town’s heritage.

“We’re more than just a store; we’re here to contribute to Cadiz’s restoration and evolution,” Homier emphasized, underscoring the boutique’s dedication to the town’s development. “Cadiz may be small, but it holds immense potential, and we’re eager to showcase that to neighboring communities.”

As “The Cowgirl in Me” Boutique opens its doors to the public, it stands as a beacon of revitalization and entrepreneurship, symbolizing a promising chapter in Cadiz’s economic growth and community development. They are located at 155 East Market Street in Cadiz and are open Thurs.-Sat., 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Call 734-771-3536 or visit thecowgirlinme.myshopify.com to learn more about the store.
