The Tuscarawas County YMCA is accepting registrations for the 2026-2027 Preschool Learning Center, a program designed to help children ages 3-5 build confidence, independence and the foundational skills needed for kindergarten success.
The YMCA’s state-licensed preschool provides a safe, nurturing environment where children learn through play, exploration and guided activities. The program focuses on early childhood development while introducing important academic and social skills.
Children in the program are introduced to letters, numbers, colors and shapes while also learning to recognize and write their names. Daily responsibilities help foster independence and confidence, while activities such as music, crafts and gym time provide fun and engaging ways to learn and grow.
The program also emphasizes the YMCA’s core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility, helping children develop positive social skills and healthy habits that last a lifetime.
