Tuscarawas County Art Guild announces annual scholarship
The TCAG will present the award to the scholarship winner during the annual Senior High School Art Show reception held at the Tuscarawas County Center for the Arts
The Tuscarawas County Art Guild has announced its 22nd annual $1,000 scholarship award. Applicants must be graduating seniors in a Tuscarawas County school district. The applicant must be pursuing a major in photography, graphics, art education or fine arts in any media. No applications from previous winners will be accepted.
The scholarship application is now open, and it must include the completed application, three digital photos of the student’s original artwork, two reference letters, one of which is to be from a teacher in the student’s field of study, and a photograph of the student for publicity purposes. All application requirements must be submitted by April 17. The Tuscarawas County Art Guild is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that has been in existence since 1972. The sole purpose of the organization is to promote artists of all abilities and promote art in the community. Members continue to meet once a month at the Tuscarawas County Center for the Arts and participate in various shows throughout the year. This is the 22nd year of the organization’s scholarship.
The TCAG will present the award to the scholarship winner during the annual Senior High School Art Show reception held at the Tuscarawas County Center for the Arts. The reception will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 29, and will include awards for the show presented by Jeannine Kennedy.
