Scarecrows on the Square registration closes Sept. 23
Families invited to craft scarecrows for annual downtown display; bake sale to support fireworks fund.
Organizers are reminding the community to submit registration forms for the annual Scarecrows on the Square event by Sept. 23 to ensure inclusion. Each entry costs $5, and families are encouraged to participate by creating a scarecrow together.
The Eagles Ladies Auxiliary 2185 will also hold a bake sale during the event, with proceeds going toward next year’s fireworks display. Attendees are encouraged to bring cash to support the fundraiser while enjoying a wide selection of baked goods.
Scarecrows on the Square has become a tradition that brings families, friends and neighbors together to showcase their creativity and celebrate the season. The event highlights the community’s spirit and offers an opportunity for all ages to contribute to both a festive display and a meaningful cause.
Organizers say it’s a chance not only to enjoy a day of family fun but also to support local efforts, from seasonal celebrations to the community fireworks. With registration still open, participants are urged to secure their spot and be part of this year’s display.
