Minerva Rotary Club plans Halloween fun Oct. 30
Trick-or-treat, parade, and costume judging party promise an evening of family-friendly festivities
The Minerva Rotary Club will sponsor Halloween activities for the community, offering a night of family fun, creativity, and spooky celebration.
Trick-or-treat will take place Thursday, Oct. 30, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Residents are invited to participate by handing out treats and enjoying the Halloween spirit throughout the village.
Following trick-or-treating, the annual Halloween parade will begin at 6:45 p.m. Lineup will start at 6:15 p.m. at the Salvation Army Depot parking lot. No registration is required. All local businesses, organizations, school and athletic groups, and individuals in costume are welcome and encouraged to participate. The parade provides an opportunity for everyone to show off their costumes to the community.
After the parade, the Community Costume Judging Party will be held at the Minerva Community Building, located at 620 E. Line St. Doors open at 6:45 p.m. Categories for judging include Scariest, Prettiest, and Most Original, with divisions by age or grade. Judges from the Rotary Club will also present a Presidents’ Award for the overall best costume and a special group award for the best ensemble. Complimentary refreshments will be provided by Rotary Club members.
The Minerva Rotary Club invites everyone in the community to come out, celebrate, and enjoy a safe and spirited Halloween evening.
