Carroll County Board of Elections defers moving until after primary election
Its new location will be at the Carroll County annex
The Carroll County Board of Elections office will not be moving to its new location until after the May primary/special election, according to Deloris Kean, director of elections.
“To put it simply, things have not lined up in time to make a smooth transition to a new location and conduct an election at the same time,” Kean said. “We pride ourselves on running a secure and transparent election with 100 percent accuracy. Thank you to all who have been helping us try to make this happen."
Originally, the Board of Elections office, currently located on the basement floor of the Carroll County Courthouse, was scheduled to move early in 2026 to its new location at the Carroll County annex in the former St. John’s Villa building on Moody Avenue in Carrollton.
