Schultz named Edison teacher of the month
Schultz, who teaches seventh- and eighth-grade science and social studies, has been part of Edison for the past decade
Caity Schultz’s drive and dedication to her students have earned her the Edison High School Teacher of the Month honor for February.
Schultz, who teaches seventh- and eighth-grade science and social studies, has been part of Edison for the past decade. She enjoys showing students how science explains the “why” of the real world and how patterns of history offer vital lessons for the past, present and future.
A Columbus native, she graduated from Ohio State University and Ashland University. She is pursuing a master’s degree in strategic communication to contribute to the College Credit Plus program at Edison.
She has sponsored the Junior Beta Club for the past eight years. Members follow the organization’s four pillars: academic achievement, outstanding character, leadership and service to others. The club focuses on monthly service projects that benefit the school and community.
Schultz met her husband, fellow Edison teacher David Schultz, while both were in the teaching program at Ashland. They have two children, Wolfe and Eliza Mae. In her spare time, she enjoys listening to audiobooks, journaling and playing with her children.
