Lay it down upon the altar, for Jesus is there.
He has for you the answer as you go to him in prayer.
There’s nothing too hard for the Lord to do.
You must trust as he goes before you.
There is power in prayer, and yes, God does hear.
He knows all your struggles and scars from that fear.
He has for you his amazing grace today.
He loves and values you; your debt he did pay.
You are loved, cherished and wanted by the most high God.
He’s covered with blessing, and with the Gospel of peace, your feet are shod.
God is your maker and knows all of your steps,
And knows what it takes with all of the preps.
Every mile and every turn does not go unnoticed,
And in valleys with Jesus, you’re the closest.
The sounds and scenery may not seem pleasant,
But God is with you; he is present.
Although you can’t see the curves up ahead,
The Lord is already there waiting around the bend.
He took away those pitfalls you can’t see.
He knows how you’re trusting, how you want the enemy to flee.
God’s truth is binding and is not frail.
It’s held together by the king we hail.
There are songs of deliverance along the way.
Can you hear the sweet melody across the bay?
The sounds of God are sweet to one’s ears.
It allows the walking through valleys without fears.
Jesus holds you tight in his compassionate grip.
There’s no need to worry; he won’t let your foot slip.
The Lord is your strong tower and refuge from every storm.
There is nothing more powerful than our God, our Lord.
There is a meadow just over the hill.
Its flowers are blossomed with streams tranquil and still.
Forgetting the past and all that’s behind ...
Is one of God‘s favors, one of a kind.
My focus is on Jesus and not this or that.
He is my peace from all the chit-chat.
Pay no mind to the thorns where the briars are thick.
They may look a bit scary with the mud so slick.
But through the “floods and fires” in life one must go.
As a warrior for Christ, you’ll face more than one foe.
And on your way with scars you are carrying,
To the one whose scars are greater, for you he’s bearing.
Don’t worry about the outcome; it’s in God’s good plan for you.
He’s written every line, even when you didn’t have a clue.
Your faith is precious and outweighs it all.
Through your life-haps, you’ve learned to stand tall.
You’re realizing that with Jesus, you’re not alone,
And it’s only because of him you’re not casting that “first stone.”
