Minerva Historical Society to meet Oct. 27 at public library
Program to feature contributions of local residents ahead of annual banquet and officer elections
The Minerva Area Historical Society will meet at 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 27, in the lower level of the Minerva Public Library, 677 Lynnwood Drive, Minerva.
President Chip Syme will present the program, “Inside the Files of the Haas Museum,” highlighting area citizens who have contributed in many ways throughout the community’s history. The presentation will include information about patents that were granted, published authors and other achievements by local residents and businesses. Light refreshments will be served.
This will be the final meeting before the society’s annual dinner banquet and election of officers and board members, scheduled for 6 p.m. Nov. 24 at the Senior Citizens Center, 1200 Valley St., Minerva.
