Miller’s Rolling Acres Metal Sales LLC has grown from humble
beginnings into a trusted family-owned building supply business serving
customers across Ohio, western Pennsylvania and northwestern West Virginia.
Founded in 1997 by Levi Miller, the company began in a modest 2,450-square-foot
warehouse focused mainly on metal roofing. Today, it has expanded into a
full-scale lumber and building materials provider.
Eli Miller, who joined the company in 2017, now serves as
yard manager, while his brother, Henry, is the office manager. Together with
their father, Levi, they oversee daily operations. “It’s a daily challenge,”
Eli Miller said. “The team and I take the order from A to Z. I take it, prepare it,
and make sure it gets to the yard guys, then to the drivers, and eventually out
to the customer. Plus, I handle the accounting, payroll and sales.”

With the Miller family’s guidance, the business has grown
far beyond metal roofing. “We offer a full-scale lumber yard,” Eli Miller said.
“That includes framing lumber for anything from a house to a pole barn or a
garage. We’ve got OSB, LVL beams, three different types of posts, vinyl siding,
windows, doors, insulation, composite decking—you name it.” In 2021, the
company began manufacturing metal trim in-house, producing both standard and
custom orders.
Miller’s Rolling Acres now employs about 12 full-time
workers and contracts with several drivers to handle deliveries. “If the
customer is willing to pay for delivery, we’ll go anywhere,” Eli Miller said. Most
orders fall within a 50- to 60-mile radius. Orders placed before noon are
typically delivered the next day, and all estimates are free.
Though family businesses can present challenges, Eli Miller said
working with his father and brother has been rewarding. “Dad is kind of
independent now—he put his time in, and he lets us handle things,” he said. At
just 25 years old, Eli Miller carries much of the responsibility but sees a bright
future. “We’re a little understaffed, and at times it gets overwhelming,” he
said. “That’s why we’re working on hiring someone to focus just on sales.
It’ll help us be more efficient.”
Despite the workload, Miller’s Rolling Acres has built a
loyal following. “We’ve got people who drive from Carrollton,” Eli Miller said.
“They’ll pass other lumber yards just to come to our place.” From lumber and
siding to custom metal trim and hardware, the company has become a go-to source
for builders and homeowners. For Eli Miller, the business is more than just a job—it’s
a legacy. “Every day is different,” he said. “Some days everything goes smooth,
and some days it’s a scramble. But that’s what keeps it interesting.”
The company is at 6092 Mirth Road NE in Mechanicstown and
can be reached at 330-627-2990. Business hours are Monday through Friday 6 a.m.
to 4 p.m., Saturday 7 a.m. to noon, and closed Sundays.
“Miller’s Rolling Acres understands without the support from
customers and hardworking employees, we would not be where we are,” Eli Miller said.
