Consumers National Bank names David Benavides senior vice president and loan officer
Veteran lender with 25 years’ experience to oversee agricultural, mortgage and consumer lending from Minerva headquarters
Consumers National Bank announced Oct. 27 that David Benavides has joined the bank’s executive management team as senior vice president and senior loan officer. He will report to President and CEO Ralph J. Lober II and will be based at the bank’s corporate headquarters in Minerva.
Benavides has more than 25 years of experience in mortgage, agricultural, commercial and indirect lending. He has directed lending sales, operations and credit teams at a variety of financial institutions in northern Ohio.
“David’s addition reflects the execution of the bank’s 2024-2026 strategic plan and is part of the developing Loan Department succession plan,” Lober said. “He will share senior loan officer duties with Executive Vice President and Senior Loan Officer Scott Dodds, with David initially taking responsibility for agricultural lending, mortgage services and consumer lending. David enjoys developing talent, creating high-performing teams and building long-term customer relationships. He is an excellent fit for the bank’s leadership and lending teams.”
Benavides earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Kent State University and is a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He lives in Aurora with his wife and daughter.
