New cases filed 

Galaxy International Purchasing LLC of Cincinnati has filed a complaint upon an agreement against Brett Book of 4341 Sherrod Valley Drive SW, Sherrodsville, seeking judgment for $12,542.95 due on a loan agreement executed April 27, 2021. 

Charles Johnson of 14214 Russ Wilcox Way, Oregon, has filed a notice of registration of a foreign support order against Annarose D. Holmes of 7187 Aurora Road NE, Kensington. 

Carry J. Foster of 232 Alamo Road SE, Carrollton, has filed a designated workers’ compensation complaint against Genuine Parts Co. of 1223 Lincoln Avenue NW, Carrollton, and Stephanie McCloud, administrator/Bureau of Workers’ Compensation at Columbus, seeking entitlement to participate in the Workers’ Compensation Fund of Ohio. The plaintiff is seeking an additional condition of “seizure-like activity” allegedly related to a compensable injury arising out of her employment with the defendant Dec. 11, 2024. 

Criminal cases 

Probable cause has been found that Angela A. Mohn, 39, of 2645 Fox Avenue, Minerva, has violated a 3-year probation imposed Sept. 23, 2024, on conviction of two counts of trafficking in drugs. Bond was set at $50,000 cash or surety, and the case was continued to Nov. 13 for a pretrial conference. 

Bond has been set at $50,000 cash or surety in the case of Linkon J. Sealock, 26, of 325 4th Drive NW, New Philadelphia, who was indicted Nov. 5 for strangulation and domestic violence. The case was continued to Nov. 12 for arraignment. 

The 3-year probation imposed Oct. 23, 2023, has been terminated as successfully completed in the case of Shady Ann S. Flowers, 40, of 904 14th Street NE, Canton, who was convicted of possession of cocaine. 

A capias has been issued for the arrest of Matthew J. Mayle, 50, of 1795 Lilly Road, Canton, for a violation of a 5-year probation imposed Feb. 25, 2022, involving a June 6, 2021, conviction of improperly discharging a firearm at or into a habitation. 

Ayden S. Long, 20, of 614 Murry Avenue, Minerva, has been granted an intervention in lieu of conviction request regarding a July 9, 2025, indictment charging him with two counts of aggravated possession of drugs (each fifth-degree felonies) and one count of failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer (first-degree misdemeanor). Long was placed on a two-year drug intervention plan under 17 conditions. 

Sean D. Rogers Jr., 34, of 5356 Spire Lane, Columbus, has entered a not guilty plea to an Oct. 1, 2025, indictment charging him with receiving stolen property and aggravated drugs. The defendant was released on a $25,000 recognizance bond, and the case was continued to Nov. 26 for a pretrial. 

Protection order issued 

A protection order has been issued until Nov. 3, 2030, against James E. Burkhart of 253 4th Street SE, Carrollton, involving a domestic violence/stalking petition filed Oct. 22, 2025, by Stephanie Jones, anonymous address. 

Motion denied 

A motion to revive a dormant judgment granted Oct. 6, 2023, filed by LVNV Funding LLC of Greenville, S.C., against Ann Yeager of 3546 Steubenville Road SE, Amsterdam, has been found moot and denied. 

Bench trial set 

A one-day bench trial has been set for Dec. 1, 2025, by retired Judge Edward Emmett O’Farrell in the notice of appeal case filed Jan. 15, 2025, by Hasington LLC of 63 E. Main Street, Carrollton, vs. Village of Minerva Zoning Appeals of 209 N. Market Street, Minerva.
