New cases filed
U.S. Bank National Association of Independence, Ohio, has filed a complaint against James B. Parish of 59 Arbor Rd. NE, Minerva, seeking judgment for $10,786.20 due on a credit account.
Danette Charnetzky of 7562 Goodland Ave. SE, Waynesburg, has filed a complaint for damages and reinstatement against Senior Suites at Century Farms LLC, 1111 Canton Rd. NW, Carrollton.
The plaintiff seeks an order requiring the defendant to restore Charnetzky to one of the positions to which she was entitled by virtue of her application and qualifications, plus expunge her personal files of all negative documentation.
According to the complaint, Charnetzky is a former employee of Senior Suites, where she was hired July 10, 2024, as wellness director.
Gateway Royalty V LLC of Amarillo, Texas, has filed a complaint with a jury trial demand against EAP Ohio LLC and Burj Energy LLC, both of Columbus, alleging breach of contract for the wrongful deduction of costs from overriding royalty interest payments.

Northwest St. Bank of Warren, Pa., has been granted judgment for $18,542.88 in another civil action filed April 3, 2025, against Donald W. Lewis of 24964 Canal St., East Rochester.
Capital One of Dublin has been granted judgment for $3,639.78 in another civil action filed May 1, 2025, against Jennifer A. Ludwig of 5301 Chase Rd. SE, Carrollton.
U.S. Bank National Association of Independence has been granted judgment for $13,212.29 in another civil action filed May 28, 2025, against Bobbie L. Smith of 790 Lilly Rd. NW, Minerva.
Sale ordered vacated
The sale held Oct. 14 has been ordered vacated due to the property being purchased by the plaintiff for $161,500, involving the foreclosure action filed Dec. 13, 2024, by PHH Mortgage Corp. of Mount Laurel, N.J., vs. Kristal R. Lovette of 3115 Explorer Rd. SW, Carrollton, et al.; case has been dismissed.
Foreclosure action dismissed
The foreclosure complaint filed June 24, 2025, by Lakeview Loan Servicing LLC of Buffalo, N.Y., vs. Latasha N. Bain of 7063 Hill Dr. NW, Malvern, et al., has been dismissed on a motion of the plaintiff.
Mediation hearing set
A mediation hearing is scheduled for Dec. 5 in the foreclosure action filed Oct. 8, 2025, by Huntington National Bank of Columbus vs. William L. and Frances A. Marker of 77 4th St. NE, Carrollton.
Criminal cases
Brian S. Jacobs, 48, of 2346 24th St. NE, Canton, has entered a not guilty plea to an Oct. 1 indictment charging him with possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia offenses. The defendant was released on a $50,000 recognizance bond, and the case was continued to Nov. 13 for a pretrial.
Douglas C. Dayton, 54, of 5626 Westfall St. SE, Waynesburg, has entered a not guilty by reason of insanity plea to a June 4, 2025, indictment charging him with assault and disorderly conduct. Dayton has been ordered to be examined by the Forensic Diagnostic Center of District Nine Inc. at Byesville for purposes of competency and sanity; bond was set at $100,000 cash or surety.
A capias has been issued for the arrest of Benjamin Michael Shaw, 42, of 4920 Miner St., Unit 475, Mineral City, for a violation of a three-year probation imposed June 16, 2025, on conviction of aggravated possession of drugs and falsification.
The defendant’s request for judicial release has been denied in the case of Brandon R. Scott, 35, formerly of 2015 Mace Rd. NE, Carrollton, who is serving a 24-month prison sentence imposed July 10, 2025, upon a probation violation involving a conviction of domestic violence.
Bond has been set at $50,000 cash or surety in the case of Jalizzea Sexton, 28, of 316 Jacquette St., Bridgeport, who was indicted Sept. 3 on charges of aggravated possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia offenses. The case was continued to Oct. 30 for a pretrial.
