The 43rd annual Atwood Area Fall Festival will be held Friday through Sunday, Oct. 3–5, at Atwood Lake.
Festival hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
Special admission will be offered Friday, when seniors 60 and older and all veterans will be admitted for $3. Regular admission is $5 per person, with free admission for children younger than 12. A weekend pass, covering all three days, is $10 per person.
Organizers promote the festival as “Something for Everyone,” and the schedule reflects that theme.
More than 100 craft and food vendors will be featured, along with daily entertainment. Scheduled highlights include the Three Sisters’ Intertribal Pow Wow at the amphitheater Saturday and Sunday, an antique engine show, mountain men encampment, the Ohio Wagon Train, a live skunk display by Skunk Haven Inc., and exhibits from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District and ODNR Wildlife. An annual photo contest, sponsored by the Focus Point Amateur Photographer’s Association, will also take place at the Photo Barn.
This year’s festival is dedicated to the memory of Glenn J. Roark, who served on the Fall Festival Committee for 28 years.
