TuscParks invites the public to bring their dogs and enjoy a walk through the trails of the Norma Johnson Center during the Dog Days of Summer event Aug. 23.
The event will take place from 9-11 a.m. at the Conservation Drive trailhead, located at 3645 Conservation Drive, Dover. A registration table will be set up at the trailhead, and participants are welcome to register and head out on the trails with their dogs.
“The Dog Days of Summer is a great fit for the pet owner and their dog,” said Marsha Freeland, TuscParks education and event manager. “One can always go on a hike with their pet at the Norma Johnson Center but this time you get a chance to go home with a door prize too.”
Attendees will earn tickets for hiking with their pets, which will be entered into a drawing for donated door prizes. Prize drawings will take place at 10:30 a.m.
The event is free and open to the public. Donations will be accepted. For more information, contact TuscParks at 330-365-1221 or visit the TuscParks Facebook page.
