Union Hospital to offer cholesterol screening in Mineral City

The screening takes about five minutes and includes total cholesterol, triglycerides and blood sugar

The hospital staff will be at the Warren Township Community Center from 9-11 a.m. to offer a blood-pressure check and a five-minute instant screening for total cholesterol.

Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital will offer a cholesterol screening Monday, April 13, from 9-11 a.m. at the Warren Township Community Center, 3986 New Cumberland Road NE, Mineral City.

Appointments are preferred, but walk-ins will be accepted if space is available.

The screening takes about five minutes and includes total cholesterol, good (HDL) and bad (LDL) cholesterol, triglycerides and blood sugar. A blood pressure check is also included.

For the most accurate results, a 12-hour fast is recommended.

The cost is $12, payable by cash or check.
