Indian Valley students earn honors in Scholastic Art Awards
The Scholastic Art Awards are among the most prestigious programs for young artists in the United States
Indian Valley High School students showcased their talent at the 2026 Northeast Ohio Scholastic Art Awards, where 75 works were recognized. The honors included a National Silver Medal in photography, three Gold Key portfolios, eight Gold Keys, 19 Silver Keys and 45 honorable mentions. The Scholastic Art Awards are among the most prestigious programs for young artists in the United States.
Several Indian Valley seniors stood out in the competition. Lily Johnson received a National Silver Medal in photography, a Gold Key in photography and four honorable mentions. Ashlynn Bolon earned a Gold Key portfolio, a Gold Key in digital art and eight honorable mentions. Alexie Menefee received a Gold Key portfolio for six recycled fashion pieces, two Gold Keys for individual fashion pieces, two Silver Keys for individual fashion pieces and three honorable mentions. Haylie Menefee also earned a Gold Key portfolio, a Gold Key for painting, four Silver Keys and seven honorable mentions.
Additional seniors honored were Olivia Bamfield, three Silver Keys in digital art; Aubrey Elliott, a Gold Key and a Silver Key, both in mixed media, and four honorable mentions; Melody Sprowl, two Gold Keys in comic art, three Silver Keys and five honorable mentions; and Cass Wright, five honorable mentions.
Underclassmen earning Silver Keys were Lilly Milburn, Adri Neininger, two, Kayden Atha, Kylynne Fox and Reese Hreha.
Underclassmen earning honorable mentions were Kayden Atha, Bella Cunningham, Mia Devore, Kali Douglas, Serenity Montgomery, Kayden Edwards, Jersi Fracchione, Reese Hreha and Lilly Lefler.
