Tuscarawas library to host program on county coal mining towns
Jon Baker will share the history of coal mining towns in Tuscarawas County
The Tuscarawas County Public Library System is hosting Jon Baker at the Main Library, where he will share the history of coal mining towns in Tuscarawas County at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 14.
Journalist Jon Baker will share the locations of Tuscarawas County coal mines, their history and stories from their workers.
“We enjoy hosting these events showcasing important local history at the library,” Adult and Teen Services Manager Tabitha Johnson said. “Events like these can provide a wonderful opportunity to learn something new about your community.”
