League of Women Voters to host voter information meeting
The mission is to educate voters and help ensure voting remains free and available to all eligible voters
The League of Women Voters of Tuscarawas County will hold an informational meeting April 16 at 6 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 140 Regent St., Dover. The event is open to the public.
In keeping with its mission to educate voters and help ensure voting remains free and available to all eligible voters, the League will present information on several topics.
Topics will include what the SAVE America Act would mean for voters if it passes the U.S. Senate; how ranked-choice voting works after being banned by the Ohio Legislature; the EdChoice program, which provides private school vouchers while state funding for public schools in Ohio has been cut; and Ohio’s unclaimed funds being used to build a new stadium for the Cleveland Browns, a move currently blocked in court.
For more information, contact the League at tuscleagueofwomenvoters@gmail.com.
