The Tuscarawas County Public Library System will host the next program in its America 250 series at the Bolivar Branch Tuesday, April 28, at 6 p.m.

This installment will focus on Moravian painter John Valentine Haidt, whose paintings are displayed at Schoenbrunn Village.

“His paintings served as religious illustrations for both the Lenape Indians and today’s visitors,” said Courtney Wallace, Bolivar Branch supervisor. “As the saying goes, a picture is worth a thousand words, and Haidt’s artwork brought to life the stories the Moravians sought to share with the Lenape people.”

The program is free, but registration is required. People can register through the event calendar at tusclibrary.org or by calling 330-874-2720.

The Bolivar Branch is at 455 W. Water St. in Bolivar.
