Foundation to host ‘Hearts to Horizons’ gala for scholarships
The gala will bring together community members, business leaders and supporters for an evening of dining, entertainment and giving
The Buckeye Career Center Foundation will host its first Hearts to Horizons Fundraising Gala to raise money for Buckeye Career Center senior scholarship recipients. The event will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, at Glass on Enchanted Acres, 640 Roxford Church Road SE in Dennison.
The gala will bring together community members, business leaders and supporters for an evening of dining, entertainment and giving. Proceeds support scholarships awarded to Buckeye Career Center seniors each spring.
Tickets are $150 per person and include dinner and desserts, live entertainment, and live and silent auctions.
“Hearts to Horizons is more than a fundraiser — it’s a night of significance where supporters come together to invest in our students who are preparing for meaningful careers,” said Kimberly Hobart Fleming, president of the Buckeye Career Center Foundation.
Entertainment will be provided by DJ Bob Hickman and Saxy Rob.
Proceeds from the event benefit Buckeye Career Center students as they launch careers or continue their education. Organizers said support can help students purchase tools for a trade or pay for college.
“Every sponsorship and ticket purchased ensure our students have the resources they need to succeed and transform lives as well as positively impacting our community,” Fleming said. “By partnering with the foundation, you are investing in a brighter future for both students and the community at large.”
In addition to ticket sales, the foundation is seeking event sponsors. Those interested in sponsorships or auction donations may contact the foundation at 330-447-5522 or buckeyefoundation@gmail.com.
Tickets are available in advance at Buckeye Career Center, Mako’s Market or A New Angle Salon. Cash or check are accepted. Checks should be made payable to the Buckeye Career Center Foundation.
The foundation has awarded more than 500 scholarships totaling $1,053,700 to Buckeye students since its inception in 1998.
