Dover band to host Marching Into Summer Festival
The fundraiser will celebrate the Dover Marching Tornadoes and feature a free concert by the Dover Steel Band and Dover Jazz Band
The Dover High School Band will host the fourth annual Marching Into Summer Festival from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 6, at Dover Middle School, 2131 N Wooster Ave N, Dover.
The fundraiser will celebrate the Dover Marching Tornadoes and feature a free concert by the Dover Steel Band and Dover Jazz Band.
Activities will include yard games, a raffle auction, food trucks, a chance to meet the majorettes, a dunk tank featuring band directors, Cow Pie Bingo and more.
Cow Pie Bingo tickets are $20 each and will be sold in advance. Each ticket buys a 3-by-3-foot plot on the grid and a chance to win $1,000. At noon the day of the festival, a cow will be led onto a field with a grid. The owner of the plot where the cow pie lands will win $1,000.
To purchase a ticket, contact any Marching Tornadoes band member or visit the Dover Marching Tornadoes Facebook page.
