Making disciples, not church attenders, is the church’s mission
ALS 5K run/walk set for May 25 in Strasburg
The family-friendly event will include a 5K run or walk, race T-shirts, prizes and refreshments
The Run to Defeat ALS 5K run/walk will be held May 25 at Strasburg Franklin Park, 140 Fourth St. SE, Strasburg.
The event will begin at 8 a.m., with registration opening prior to the start time.
The family-friendly event will include a 5K run or walk, race T-shirts, prizes and refreshments.
The cost is $40 through May 22 and $45 for race-day signup.
The event raises awareness and supports families while helping fund research for ALS, also known as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, a progressive disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord.
Participants can register by scanning the QR code on the event flyer or by contacting Cross Caffe at 330-600-5740 for sponsorship information.
The event is part of the Race Penguin Series.
