Cera chosen teacher of the month at Edison
Cera has 11 years of experience as an athletic trainer and has been part of the Edison community for the past five years
Edison High School teacher Bethany Cera has been named teacher of the month for January.
Cera, also known as Mrs. Trifonoff, has 11 years of experience as an athletic trainer and has been part of the Edison community for the past five years. She is in her second year as a health teacher.
A 2011 graduate of St. John Central High School, Cera attended the University of Charleston, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in athletic training in 2015. She also was a member of the softball team. She continued her education at Muskingum University, where she served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer and earned a Master of Arts in adult education in 2017.
Cera spent five years as an assistant athletic trainer at Hiram College before joining Edison in 2021 through Trinity Health System. She began teaching two years ago and has been a member of the softball coaching staff for the past three seasons.
In her spare time, she enjoys watching sports, playing softball and spending time with her husband, Jimmy, and his daughter, Finley. She is expecting a daughter in May.
