Carrollton First UMC to host Chalk It Up on Sept. 21
Downtown square will transform into a colorful community art space with chalk creations, prizes and family fun
The sidewalks of downtown Carrollton will come alive with color and creativity at this year’s Chalk It Up! event, hosted by Carrollton First United Methodist Church.
The event will take place Sunday, Sept. 21, from 3 to 5 p.m. on the square in downtown Carrollton.
This free, family-friendly event invites the community to gather for an afternoon of art and fun. Participants of all ages are encouraged to showcase their chalk art skills, with age-category judging and prizes awarded to winners.
Whether you’re an experienced artist or just love doodling in the sunshine, there’s a place for everyone to join in.
Adding to the festivities, the Beachside Beanie drink truck will be on site serving refreshing drinks to keep creativity flowing.
A limited supply of chalk will be available for those who need it, but participants are encouraged to bring their own to make sure there’s plenty to go around.
Participants are invited to bring their family and friends and help the sponsors turn the square into a vibrant canvas of color.
