Barnett sworn in for third term on Veterans Service Commission
Barnett is active in the American Legion at both the post level and the Department of Ohio level
Thomas D. Barnett, 77, of Mechanicstown, was sworn in for a third five-year term on the Carroll County Veterans Service Commission Jan. 13 by Carroll County Common Pleas Court Judge Michael V. Repella. They were joined by George H. Bitgood, representing the American Legion.
Barnett is a longtime member of the Carroll County Veterans Service Commission. The commission’s office is at 160 Second St. SW in Carrollton. Barnett is also active in the American Legion at both the post level and the Department of Ohio level.
Barnett said he looks forward to the next five years and encouraged active-duty military members and veterans to stop by the recently revamped office between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. weekdays and share their story of service.
