TuscParks Fall Fest returns Oct. 4 at Norma Johnson Center

Family-friendly event will feature pumpkin painting, crafts, live entertainment, a monarch butterfly release and more outdoor activities in Dover.

Kids can bring old clothes and make their own scarecrow.

TuscParks will host its annual Fall Fest at the Norma Johnson Center Oct. 4 from noon to 5 p.m. The event is open to the public. A $5-per-car donation will be collected at the entrance.

The festival will be held under the picnic shelter on Conservation Drive and along the surrounding trails. Activities will include free pumpkin painting, scarecrow making (participants provide clothing), face painting, children’s craft tables, snack tables, Blathmac Illusions, Ohio animal pelts and a scavenger hunt. Balloon twisting will be available from 1-3 p.m.

Fundraisers for TuscParks will include a monarch butterfly release with Fran LeMasters of All A Flutter Butterflies and a concession stand. Support for the event comes from the First National Bank of Dennison, Norma Johnson Center Foundation Board, Tastee Apple, Troyer’s Manufacturing, Dover Library, Hope Hill Missions and the Josh Lautzenhieser family.

Donations are always accepted. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

The Norma Johnson Center is located at 3645 Conservation Drive, off Old State Route 39, about three miles west of I-77 Dover Exit 83 and six miles east of Sugarcreek.
