Tuscarawas Valley Farmers Market to host Holiday Market
The annual Holiday Market is from 3-7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25, at New Towne Mall
The Tuscarawas Valley Farmers Market will host its annual Holiday Market from 3-7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25, at New Towne Mall in New Philadelphia. The event will be located inside Mall Entrance B, near Empire China Buffet.
Shoppers will find produce grown and products made within 65 miles, including eggs, potatoes, carrots, beets, onions, kale, lettuce, shallots, cabbage, squash, leeks, broccoli, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, mushrooms, maple syrup, honey, jams, jellies, pies, bread, popcorn, candied nuts, macaroons, cotton candy and chocolates, as well as turkey. Those wishing to take home a turkey should contact Ivan Keim at 4 Seasons Harvest at 330-852-8800 to reserve one.
To add variety to the event, the group has partnered with the Tuscarawas Arts Partnership to bring in artisans offering crafts such as ceramics, pens, books, ornaments, potted plants, wooden ware, toys and candles. Live music by Nick Bonner will be featured from 5-7 p.m.
The first 200 seniors age 50 and older who attend will receive a $10 Happy Buck to use on any purchase at the event, courtesy of the Tuscarawas County Center's Senior Service Network.
The all-volunteer board of directors invites the community to connect with local growers, take home the freshest produce available and meet artisans offering unique gifts for the holiday season.
