Tuscarawas County Public Library seeks trustee for Sugarcreek/Garaway seat
Court-appointed vacancy runs through Dec. 31, 2029; applicants must live in the district and submit a letter and application via tusclibrary.org.
The Tuscarawas County Public Library has an immediate vacancy on its Board of Trustees following the recent passing of Sugarcreek representative Richard Kaser.
The opening is one of three board seats appointed by the Court of Common Pleas. Applicants must live within the Tuscarawas County Public Library District and reside in Sugarcreek or within the Garaway school district. The unexpired term runs through Dec. 31, 2029.
The library system includes mobile services and five locations in New Philadelphia, Bolivar, Strasburg, Sugarcreek and Tuscarawas. The board currently includes representatives from each of those communities.
The board meets the third Monday of each month at 5:30 p.m. at the Main Library in New Philadelphia. Applicants should submit a letter of interest and a completed Board of Trustees application to Board President Mary Burns, in care of the Tuscarawas County Public Library, 121 Fair Ave. NW, New Philadelphia, Ohio 44663.
