Tuscarawas County Public Library promotes employees
The Tuscarawas County Public Library System has announced the promotion of three employees: Tabitha Johnson, Emmie Troyer and Jade Boffo.
Johnson, who previously worked in children's services at the Main Library before serving as the Tusky Branch supervisor for eight years, has returned to the Main Library as the adult and teen services manager. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in history and a Master of Library and Information Science.
“I make it a point to get to know people on a first-name basis and to always ask how their day is going,” Johnson said. “Sometimes library staff are the only kind interaction people have in a day, so I want that to be meaningful.”
Troyer, who worked in children’s services and taught English Language Learner programs for adults, has been promoted to mobile services supervisor. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in studio arts with a concentration in textiles.
“I am eager to get our Bookmobile out and about in Tuscarawas County,” Troyer said. “Our Mobile Services team is looking forward to giving folks an experience with the Bookmobile at schools and nursing homes, as well as community stops and pop-up events.”
“I want the library to feel like a second home and a safe place to be.”
Boffo, who worked in children’s services and more recently as a substitute for the system, was promoted to Tusky Branch supervisor. She holds a Bachelor of Science in education.
“I enjoy working in the library. I strive to be a positive role model for the families and kids,” Boffo said. “I want the library to feel like a second home and a safe place to be.”
The Tuscarawas County Public Library System consists of the Main Library and Operations Center in New Philadelphia; four branches in Bolivar, Strasburg, Sugarcreek and Tuscarawas; and Mobile Services operations. For more information, visit www.tusclibrary.org.
