Tuscarawas County Public Library plans fall festivities
Branches across the system to host family-friendly festivals, trick-or-treat, games and crafts throughout October.
The Tuscarawas County Public Library System will host a variety of family-friendly fall events this October at its Main Library and Operations Center as well as its branches.

The Tuscarawas County Public Library System will host a variety of family-friendly fall events this October at its Main Library and Operations Center as well as its branches.
“It is my hope that such family events in the community allow for a positive, safe, and fun experience while offering the chance to meet others and expand social circles,” said Mary Smrek, children services manager.
The Bolivar Branch will host a fall festival Thursday, Oct. 16, at 5:30 p.m. The evening will feature the fourth annual Glow-in-the-Dark Game Room, with glowing games, fun crafts and snacks. Costumes are welcome.
The Main Library and Operations Center will host trick-or-treat Tuesday, Oct. 28, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Families are invited to walk the pumpkin trail and enjoy candy, crafts and activities.
The Strasburg Branch will hold a Halloween Duck Party Thursday, Oct. 30, at 5:30 p.m. Participants can pick up a duck before the party, decorate it and bring it back to be judged. The evening will also include games, a piñata, crafts and snacks.
The Sugarcreek Branch will host its fall festival Friday, Oct. 31, at 4 p.m., featuring family-friendly fall activities.
