Tuscarawas County Main Library seeks artists for Tiny Art Show
Professional and amateur artists of all ages are encouraged to participate
The Main Library of the Tuscarawas County Public Library System is seeking area artists to participate in its fifth annual Tiny Art Show in February.
“We provide the mini canvases; you provide the art,” said Erin Snider, public service associate.
Professional and amateur artists of all ages are encouraged to participate. Artists may pick up a mini canvas beginning Monday, Jan. 26, at the Main Library.
Snider said the library will have 50 canvases available at no cost. Participants may also supply their own canvas, as long as it is no larger than 4 by 4 inches. The event is open to all ages and is first-come, first-served.
“Decorate it any way you wish, and bring it back by 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7,” Snider said. “We will display it in our lobby display case for the rest of the month.”
Community members will vote for their favorite pieces from Feb. 23-28. Winners will be announced in March.
The Main Library is located at 121 Fair Ave. NW, New Philadelphia. For more information, visit tusclibrary.org or call 330-364-4474.
