Tuscarawas Central Catholic’s golf season comes to end

Saints finish 10th of 18 at districts

On Sunday, Dec. 13, thirteen seniors and 12 juniors were inducted into the Tuscarawas Central Catholic National Honor Society.

Tuscarawas Central Catholic’s golf team saw its postseason end on Sept. 24 at the Division III sectional tournament at Cambridge Country Club. Lucus Stokey led the Saints with an 89 to finished tied for 26 among 80 individuals.

TCC finished 10th among 18 teams with a 381. Holden Civiello finished 41st with a 94, two shots and nine places ahead of teammate Edward Bachman. Noah Lengyel checked in 62nd with a 102 and Louden Savage placed 73rd with a 123.

The top six teams and top six individuals on non-qualifying teams advanced to the River Greens District, to be played Oct. 2 at River Greens Golf Course in West LaFayette.

On the girls side, Olivia Coleman was the Saints’ lone representative in the Division II sectional at Carroll Meadows Golf Course on Sept. 23. She shot a 119 to finish in 38th place among 56 players. The top four teams and top four individuals on non-qualifying teams earned district berths.
