Strasburg Senior Center’s Craft Show set for Oct. 18 at UMC
40+ vendors, bake sale, raffles, and food; proceeds help remodel accessible restroom.
The Strasburg Senior Center will hold its second annual craft show Saturday, Oct. 18, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Strasburg United Methodist Church, 206 Second St. NW. The event will feature more than 40 vendors, a bake sale, raffles and a food stand.
Vendors will be set up on two floors and in the church social hall. An elevator is available. Items for sale include centerpieces, wreaths, grave saddles, jewelry, ceramics, blankets, shirts, Christmas crafts, floral arrangements, purses, Tupperware, Paparazzi and Mary Kay products, gourds, Scentsy, candles and melts, Tastefully Simple items and more.
“The center will offer a bake sale and food, along with a basket raffle,” Heather Blacka, site manager, said. Community members may donate baked goods by bringing them to the church Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. or Saturday morning.
At least 12 baskets will be raffled. Tickets are $1 for one, $5 for six or 15 for $10. The basket table will be located inside the front entrance. A 50/50 raffle will also be held, with proceeds going toward remodeling the handicapped bathroom in the social hall. Kettle corn will be available outside the church.
The food stand will serve hot dogs, coneys, hot creamed chicken sandwiches, walking tacos, pizza, water, soda and coffee. Volunteers are needed to help with the event.
“There is no charge to attend the show,” Blacka said. “We hope everyone will come and enjoy the fun and fellowship.”
Coordinator Brenda Bayer and Blacka encouraged community members to attend.
