Parents United to host State of the Schools community meeting
The meeting will focus on the future of public education in Tuscarawas County
The Tuscarawas County chapter of Parents United for Public Schools, in partnership with the Lacey PAC Adaptive Movement Center, will host a State of the Schools community meeting Wednesday, March 4, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Fourth and Faith, 401 N. Wooster Ave., Dover.
The meeting will focus on the future of public education in Tuscarawas County, including updates on school funding, property tax implications and how recent and proposed changes may affect local students and families.
Guest speakers include John Patterson, former Ohio House representative and co-author of Ohio’s Fair School Funding Formula, and Penny Moody of the Ohio Coalition for the Education of Children with Disabilities.
The event will provide an opportunity for parents and community members to learn about education issues, ask questions and take part in a discussion about the future of public schools in the county.
The meeting is free and open to the public. Parents, caregivers and community members are encouraged to attend.
