PAC announces new shows coming to New Philadelphia

The Performing Arts Center at Kent State University at Tuscarawas has announced three new shows coming to New Philadelphia. Legendary Las Vegas headliner and “America’s Got Talent” winner Terry Fator will perform Saturday, Feb. 28. 

The fourth annual Sounds of the Season, a free community event featuring local musicians is Thursday, Dec. 18. 

The creators of the viral web series #IMOMSOHARD will bring their Flashback Tour Sunday, April 19. All shows begin at 7:30 p.m.

 has created a new road show to kick off his 2025-26 tour. “Pure Imagination: Once Upon a Voice” is a 90-minute show featuring the impressions, comedy and ventriloquism that have made Fator and his characters a fan favorite across the nation.

The show includes the classic characters Fator is known for: Winston the Impersonating Turtle; country star Walter T. Airdale; Apollo Theater legend Julius; perpetual slacker Duggie; Vikki the Cougar; and the world’s greatest Elvis impersonator, Maynard Tompkins. 

#IMOMSOHARD: The Flashback Tour features comedians Kristin Hensley and Jen Smedley as they dive into the joys and chaos of motherhood, survival in marriage, questionable fashion choices, belly fat and the unpredictability of raising kids.

Best friends and creators of the viral #IMOMSOHARD web series, Hensley and Smedley discuss the good, the bad and the funny of motherhood. Their work has led to four national tours, a successful podcast, a New York Times bestseller and a stand-up special on Amazon Prime Video. They are now on their fifth nationwide tour, bringing their irreverent humor to audiences across the country.

Now in its fourth year, Sounds of the Season will usher in the holidays with a concert of festive musical selections performed by area musicians. The Performing Arts Center will be filled with holiday favorites at this free family-friendly event. Tickets are required. Featured musicians include the Claymont High School Concert Choir, Dover High School Ars Nova Singers and the New Philadelphia High School Delphian Chorale, with additional performers to be announced.

Tickets for Terry Fator and #IMOMSOHARD start at $20. Tickets for Sounds of the Season are free. All shows go on sale Friday, Nov. 21, at 10 a.m. at the Performing Arts Center box office, by phone at 330-308-6400 or online at kent.edu/tuscpac. The box office is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Free and convenient parking is available for all shows. The Performing Arts Center is located on the Kent State Tuscarawas campus at 330 University Drive NE in New Philadelphia.
